Aprilia SR GT 200 is a maxi-scooter ready for adventure

Italian two-wheeler manufacturer Aprilia announced the launch of its first adventure scooter, the SR GT 200, in the Japanese market. Aprilia first unveiled the SR GT range of adventure scooters during the November 2021 EICMA show in Milan, Italy. The two-wheeler manufacturer offers the SR GT in two variants – 125 and 200, with the latter introduced in Japan. Aprilia has designed the scooter to tackle the beaten path whilst offering practicality and performance during daily commuter runs.

2022 Aprilia SR GT 200: Design details

Drawing inspiration from other Aprilia models, such as the SXR range, the SR GT 200 features a striking design language. Highlighting its ADV stance, the scooter sports a wide handlebar, long-travel suspension, an imposing apron, and block pattern tyres. The ‘urban adventure scooter’ sports tri-LED headlights upfront with a smoked windscreen and a heavily flared front panel. Along with aggressive cuts and creases, the scooter gets a large transmission tunnel placed between the legs of the rider.

This will not only allow the rider to experience the feeling of riding a motorcycle but also experience comfort. Aprilia has ensured to bound the footpegs of the scooter with silver-coloured panels, giving it a metallic bash plate impression. The 2022 SR GT 200 also gets a sharp tail section with a single-piece grab rail and an upswept exhaust. The scooter also sports black or red-coloured wheels and distinctive body graphics to further accentuate its road presence.
