Aprilia has launched the 2020 Aprilia RSV4 RR and Tuono 1100 RR Misano Editions limited to 100 examples each designed in commemoration of Aprilia Racing’s championship success at the Misano circuit in Italy, livery inspired from Loris Reggiani’s victory in 1987 championship class.
The ‘Misano’ racing livery with the large Aprilia “A” logo reverberates with brand’s racing heritage and a tricolour paint theme. The Aprilia RSV4 RR comes with a fully faired design with an aerodynamic front nose, signature triple-pot headlamps, chiselled tank, rear-set footpegs, clip-on handlebars, a racing-style bubble windscreen, turn indicator integrated wing mirrors, a high set tail and sharp rear cowlings. The 2020 Tuono V4 1100 RR Misano features the same paint theme but features a mini fairing with an aero nose, triple headlight setup, underbelly cowling, high set tail with a generous rear seat, a small flyscreen, straight handlebars side slung exhaust etc.
In the engine department, the Aprilia RSV4 RR Misano edition is powered by a 999.6cc Aprilia 65-degrees V4-Cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve DOHC with Ride By Wire and 3 engine mappings – Sport, Race, Track. The engine makes 201 Hp of power and 115 Nm of torque matched to an 6-speed gearbox. The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR Misano is powered by a 1077cc Aprilia 65-degrees V4-Cylinder, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 4-valve DOHC engine that produces 175 Hp of power and 121 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox and three riding modes -Sport, Race and Track.
Both the Aprilia RSV4 RR and the Tuono V4 1100 RR feature an impressive electronics package that Includes – APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) system including traction control (ATC), wheelie control (AWC), launch control (ALC), cruise control (ACC), pit limiter (APL), cornering ABS, with the addition of QuickShift (AQS) on the RSV4 RR, all independently settable and de-selectable.
The Aprilia RSV4 RR Misano Edition is priced at USD 17,999 plus taxes and the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR is priced at USD 15,999 plus taxes in the North American market.
