Greaves Cotton-owned Ampere has announced the launch of two products for the Indian market. These are namely, Primus and Zeal EX. Primus electric scooter retails at an ex-showroom price of INR 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, India, except North Eastern states). Alongside the Primus, the Apmere has also launched the updated Zeal EX e-scooter.
Ampere Zeal EX e-scooter is available at an introductory, ex-showroom price of INR 69,900. Noteworthy to mention, this price is valid only in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. As for the other parts of the country, the Ampere Zeal EX will retail at INR 75,000 (ex-showroom). Additionally, Ampere is offering additional benefits of up to INR 6,000 on the Zeal EX. But, this is valid till March 31.
The Zeal EX uses a 1.8kW motor. This electric scooter comes with a claimed top speed of 55 kmph, which is enough for city rides. Rider also has the option to toggle through multiple ride modes. Zeal EX uses a 2.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. This battery comes with a claimed mileage of 120km certified by ARAI on a full charge. Ampere mentioned that the scooter gets fully charged in under 5 hours. Customers can have theĀ Ampere Zeal in three colours. This includes Stone Grey, Ivory White and Indigo Blue.
With the current rising demand for EV scooters, Ampere is getting quite popular in the market. Given the future of EVs in the market, Ampere is holding up well with frequent product launches and updates. The key to sustaining in the cutthroat EV competition is staying relevant and updated. Ampere is doing pretty well in the market by constantly updating its product lineup. Given the rising fuel prices and green mobility, customers too are now more than willing to opt for electric vehicles.
