Greaves Mobility has launched the new Ampere Nexus electric scooter in the Indian market at the price of INR 1.10 lakh ex-showroom. The Greaves Electric Mobility claims that the Ampere Nexus is completely designed, developed and manufactured in India. The brand also claims that the electric scooter comes with class-leading specifications and innovations. In addition to this, the Ampere Nexus will also come with four colour options – Zanskar Aqua, Indian Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey.
The Ampere Nexus boasts a best-in-class hybrid swing arm with twin suspension for comfort. The brand also claims that the Nexus comes with best-in-class aerodynamics featuring a unique air-cool architecture. The Ampere Nexus also comes with a 4x strong chassis offering a load-strafed design with New.Armour.
The scooter also features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen with SmartSense technology. The Nexus also features a fast boot time with New.IO. The Ampere Nexus also comes with LFP chemistry which has 1.3 times more cycle life and fastest charging time of 3hr 22mins. The Nexus also features Diamond Cut Headlamps and Arctic Tern-inspired Taillamps.
The electric scooter comes with large seat with crafted lightweight aluminium grab handle. The brand also offers a top speed of 93 kmph and gets five riding modes and 136 km of certified range. The Ampere Nexus Electric scooter also comes with premium and seamless design without visible nuts and bolts.
Powering the Ampere Nexus electric scooter is a 4 kW peak power electric motor. The electric motor is paired to a 3 kWh battery pack with with 30% extra battery life claims the brand. The mid-mounted motor is capable of offering a claimed top speed of 93 kmph as well.
Ampere has also announced that customers can book the Ampere Nexus in two variants – Nexus EX and Nexus ST. The Test rides for the EV will be available at over 400 dealerships and touchpoints across India starting the second half of May 2024. The deliveries of the electric scooter is also scheduled in the same period.
