Another day, another new EV launched in India. Ampere Vehicles has introduced the Reo Elite electric scooter in India priced at INR 45,000. Bookings have commenced online for INR 1,999 and as an introductory offer, Ampere will gift a helmet free of cost to the first few customers. From the appearance itself, the Reo Elite looks like a scooter positioned to entire newbie riders to the world of EVs with its slim profile.
The Ampere Reo Elite comes with a 48V – 20 Ah lead acid type battery which claims to deliver 50 – 60 km of riding range in city and 55 – 65 km riding range on the highway. This is with just the rider alone and range could drop with a pillion on board. Ampere claims a top speed of 25 kmph for the Reo Elite and the motor power is rated at 250 Watts. The brand will be offering a 48V 2.7 A charger which will have the batteries ready to roll in 8 hours. The scooer has a 86 kg kerb weight and a maximum load carrying capacity of 130 kg. The scooter comes with drum brakes at the front and rear with a telescopic front fork and a coil spring rear shocker. The scooter measures 1670mm in length, 640mm in width and 1110mm in height.
Ampere will be offering the Reo Elite in black, white, red and blue paint options.
Other features on the Reo Elite electric scooter include full digital speedometer cluster, USB charging point, alloy wheels with machine finish, sleek headlamp and tail lamp, bag hook, storage cubicle under handlebar, etc.
