Ampere, a division of Greaves Electric Mobility Limited, has launched the Magnus Neo electric scooter in India at a starting price of INR 79,999 (ex-showroom). The Magnus Neo replaces the Magnus EX variant and offers several enhancements over its predecessor.

Ampere Magnus Neo – What’s New?

The Magnus Neo features a 2.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a range of 100 km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in 5-6 hours using a portable 7.4 A charger. The scooter achieves a top speed of 65 kmph, making it suitable for city commuting.

The design of the Magnus Neo includes sharp side panels, a sleek LED headlight, and a long single-piece seat. It is available in five vibrant colors: Metallic Red, Glacial White, Ocean Blue, Galactic Grey, and Glossy Black. The scooter also features a fully digital instrument cluster with connectivity options, a USB charging port, and safety features like Find My Scooter, Live Tracking, and an anti-theft alarm.

Ampere aims to make eco-friendly commuting more accessible with the Magnus Neo, which includes three riding modes and a reverse mode for easy maneuvering. The scooter is equipped with 12-inch alloy wheels for enhanced durability and stability.

Market Competition

Ampere’s new electric scooter faces competition from several electric scooters in the Indian market. Key rivals include the Hero Electric Optima, which offers a range of up to 89 km on a single charge and a top speed of 48 km/h. Another strong competitor is the Ola Electric S1 X, which boasts a higher top speed of 85 km/h and a range of up to 95 km with its 2 kWh battery pack.
