We’ve seen spyshots before, and now, a new image has leaked online claiming to be the final design for the new generation KTM RC 390. The KTM RC series has remained unchanged majorly in the design department ever since it was introduced, and this new model is expected to be revealed and launched in 2020-21. The KTM RC 390 has been known for its razor sharp riding dynamics and sporty engine performance, the same will be carried forward with this new design language.
Of course, the new generation KTM RC 390 will be powered by a BS6 compliant petrol engine. This motor we expect to be the same as the one coming up on the KTM 390 Adventure next month. This motor will be the same but BS6 compliant 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke block producing 43 HP of power and 37 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Obviously gear ratios for the new KTM RC 390 would be reworked to suits its sporty nature. The KTM RC 390 will come with features such as slipper assist clutch, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, full digital speedometer cluster, smartphone connectivity, fuel injection, traction control, quickshifter, cornering ABS, full LED lights, etc. This would make the bike unbeatable in the segment.
The new image reveals that the styling of the KTM RC 390 does not look as sharp and edgy as before, but sporty nevertheless. The bike will get a completely reworked chassis and will make use of WP suspension and an aluminium swingarm as well. The bike will continue with a split and step-up seat design, new full system exhaust, new shape for the front fairing resembling the KTM RC8, turn indicators mounted on rear view mirrors, alloy wheels, etc. Full details have not surfaced yet, but they will trickle down closer to EICMA or INTERMOT 2020.
The new KTM RC 390 thanks to all these changes would be much, much ahead of the current model we have on sale.
