Hyundai could be testing the next-generation Verna on South Korean roads. The brand is likely to introduce the new model next year in the international markets, followed by its debut in India. Images of the development mule only a few details of the vehicle that gives us a small glimpse of what to expect in the near future.
Hyundai Verna Spyshots – Design Speculation
The Hyundai Verna is likely to come with the brand’s latest Sensuous Sportiness design language. Spyshots of the development mule are heavily camouflaged. But the keen-eyed would notice that the car will come with low slung headlamp units and slender taillamps. The Hyundai Verna is also likely to get the new wedge design on the radiator grille.
The new grille design made its debut on the Tucson SUV and, more recently, was applied to the Hyundai Creta facelift. Hyundai also showcased the Sensuous Sportiness design on the Hyundai Le Fil Rouge concept car at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. The Verna is also likely to come with Parametric Hidden Lights integrated into the grille. The vehicle will also come with a progressive roofline that ends far into the rear deck and multispoke alloy wheels.

The Hyundai Verna will come with features such as a larger infotainment screen and digital instruments cluster. The brand is also likely to offer ventilated seats and touch control for the HVAC along with air-conditioning vents on the second row. The car is also likely to come with the latest-generation Connected features, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging etc. Hyundai will also offer an extensive safety package on the new Verna.
Hyundai Verna – Powertrain
Powering the Hyundai Verna could be 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The brand is likely to offer the sedan with manual and automatic gearbox options. The next-generation model is also likely to come with mild-hybrid technology. Expect the car to feature brake energy regeneration and automatic idle start/stop.
