2020 Honda Livo BS6 launched at INR 69,442

Honda, last week teased us with a new commuter segment two-wheeler which has now been introduced as the Honda ‘Livo’. The Honda Livo is launched at the starting price of INR 69,422 (for Drum version, ex-showroom Jaipur, Rajasthan). The all-new Honda Livo is available in two variants – Disc and Drum offered in four colours – Athletic Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Gray Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic and Black and a 110cc BS6 engine. 

In terms of styling, the Honda Livo features a DC headlamp with headlamp shrouds with an integrated black flyscreen, black inserts around the headlight area, chiselled tank with boomerang-style tank cowling, upright handlebars, ergonomic seats, matte black finish pillion grab rails, ‘Livo’ body graphics, textured side panels, clear lens tail lamps, engine start/stop switch, integrated headlamp beam & passing switch, analogue-digital instruments cluster consisting of an analogue speedometer, digital fuel gauge, clock, odometer, trip and service due indicator.  

The Honda Livo is powered by BS6 emissions-compliant 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled PGM-FI engine featuring new technologies such as Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) which integrates ACG (AC Generator) starter motor, reduced friction in the moving parts of the engine and a Programmed Fuel Injection system (PGM-Fi) that comes with 6 intelligent sensors – Engine oil temperature sensor, Engine Speed sensor, Oxygen sensor, Air pressure sensor, Air temperature sensor, Throttle Position Sensor and HET Low Rolling Resistance tubeless tyres that maintains a balance between grip and fuel efficiency. 

In terms of mechanical hardware, the Honda Livo comes with a diamond type frame that rides on conventional hydraulic telescopic front fork suspension, twin coil-spring hydraulic shock absorbers, a hydraulically operated disc brake on the front and a mechanical internally expanding shoe type drum brake on the rear wheel. The bike also appears to get black powder-coated 17-inch alloy wheels.

The Honda Livo is also offered with an industry-first, special 6-year warranty package with 3 years standard + 3 years optional extended warranty.
