All-New Bentley Flying Spur revealed

Bentley had teased the 4-door model on the 100th anniversary year which revealed many advanced features including the automotive world-first 3-dimensional textured leather upholstery developed by Bentley’s craftsmen and women in Crewe, England. And now, Bentley has unveiled the new third-generation Flying Spur, which claims to be a much more advanced than the predecessor with similarities only in the name of the luxury model. 

The all-new Bentley Flying Spur features a vertical-vane matrix grille in chrome and crystal-cut Full LED matrix headlamps with High Beam Assist, with the option of an illuminated ‘Flying-B’ mascot, on the hood. When looked from the profile, the Flying Spur gets 21-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels and the rear end gets, squared-off ‘B’-shaped full LED tail lights and Twin oval stainless steel tailpipes.

The interiors of the Bentley Flying Spur comes standard with a 12.3-inch high definition capacitive touchscreen infotainment system, with 650 watts, 11-channel, 10 speaker audio system, choice of mono-tone colour trim or two dual-tone colour trims, 15 premium grade leather interior colours, Alcantara headlining, Crown Cut walnut veneer, 3-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel, gear-shift paddles on steering wheel, treadplates embossed with ‘Handbuilt in Crewe, England’ and more optional features.

The Flying Spur is based on the MSB platform which is shared with Continental GT and Porsche Panamera. But, the Bentley Flying Spur differentiates itself by the body shape and finer details both on the inside as well as outside. The engine is powered by a 6.0 litre twin-turbocharged W-12 TSI motor that delivers 635 PS of power and 900 Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, sending the power to the wheels via an active all-wheel-drive system. The top speed of the Flying Spur is 333 kmph and the car can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.8 seconds.

The exterior dimensions of the all-new Bentley Flying Spur measures in at 5,316 mm in length, 2,220 mm in width and 1,484mm in height.

The all-new Flying Spur also features, an electronic All-Wheel-Steering system which provides a smaller turning circle at low speeds helping the car manoeuvre easily in urban environments, four driving modes-Comfort, Sport, Bentley and Custom. Bentley Dynamic Ride, a 48V Electronic Active Roll-Control system, torque-vectoring-by-brake system, etc.

Bentley sells the Continental GT, Mulsanne and Bentayga in India and we expect the brand to launch the all-new flying Spur in India soon.
