All-New 2020 Hyundai i20 interior sketch revealed

Last week we reported the exterior of the all-new 2020 Hyundai i20. Now the interior sketch of the car has been revealed ahead of its debut which is scheduled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The interior sketch reveals a dual-tone cabin with a multi-layered dashboard and a very unique looking air-conditioning vent design. The steering wheel looks futuristic and is likely to come with audio and telephony controls. The driver’s display is likely to be fully-digital and suggestions are that it will be around 10.25-inches in size. Next to the instruments cluster lies the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with eSIM feature for connectivity and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto integration. The central tunnel has a pod-like air-con control area and cubby holes to store various things and a wireless mobile phone charging pad. Door pads have the same bladed treatment as the air-con vents near the speaker area and have storage spots for water bottle and magazines built into them. The seat has contoured upholstery and they too appear to carry the same dual-tone theme as the cabin.

To recap, externally the all-new Hyundai i20 features an angular and sharp design and will come with a signature cascading grille sharp headlight units with integrated reverse tick-mark LED daytime running lights, triangular inserts on the fog light area, projector fog lights, a splitter style front bumper, 16/17-inch dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels, a bold character line that follows the shoulder, chrome treatment on the window sills, piano black roof, Z-shaped wraparound LED taillights with an LED light bar that connects them, a diffuser style bumper and a black appliqué on the tailgate with ‘Hyundai’ logo.

The 2020 Hyundai i20 is expected to be powered by BS6 emission compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.2-litre diesel engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with manual and automatic gearbox options. The N Performance variant of the i20 is also speculated to be on offer which is likely to produce around 200 hp of power.

The 2020 Hyundai i20 will now be in its 3rd generation and will demand a slightly premium price than the current Hyundai i20.
