BMW India has launched the all-electric Mini Countryman SE at INR 54.90 lakh. This is one of the four new products BMW India launched today. The other products include the BMW 5 Series Long Wheel Base, the 2024 Mini Cooper S and the BMW CE-04 electric scooter.
The Countryman SE is the electrified version of the standard Countryman SUV. In terms of design, it gets a fresh new grille which does not have any vents. Like the Mini Cooper S, it also gets redesigned headlamps and taillamps. The car is also slightly bigger, longer and taller than its predecessor.
Inside, the Countryman gets a complete overhaul. It sports a 9.4-inch circular display. The driver seat also comes with massage function. The tan upholstry gives the Countryman’s cabin a fresh new look.
The car also gets Mini connected tech, level 2 ADAS, digital key and in-car fish eye selfie camera.
The Countryman SE is powered by a 66.4 kWh motor that produces 201 hp of peak power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The battery boasts of a 462 km range on the WLTP cycle. It also boasts of a 0 to 100 kmph time of 8.8 seconds. The wallbox charger provided with will be able to fully charge the car on 3 hrs and 45 minutes.
The Mini Countryman SE is priced at INR 54.90 lakh ex-showroom. The reason for the higher price tag is because the car comes to India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). The electric SUV cab be booked at any Mini dealership or the official Mini website. Deliveries begin from September 2024.
While there is no direct competition, the Countryman could take on the Hyundai IONIQ 5, Kia EV6 and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
