Mini has announced the new all-electric Mini 3-door-Cooper SE in the Indian market. The brand has announced that the Mini 3-door Cooper SE will come to the Indian market as a completely built-up unit (CBU). However, if you are planning to purchase the electric vehicle, it might be too late. The company has revealed that all available units were sold out during the pre-launch booking in Q4 2021.
Furthermore, Mini India revealed that the brand will be delivering the cars to pre-launch customers from March 2022. But there is also good news for enthusiasts, as the brand reveals that bookings for the next phase of deliveries will start from March 2022, exclusively on the MINI Online Shop. Mini also reveals that the all-electric MINI 3-Door Cooper SE is INR 47,20,000 ex-showroom. The all-electric Mini 3-door Cooper SE comes with four colour options – White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey and British Racing Green.
The all-electric Mini 3-door Cooper SE features aesthetic aerodynamic lines with a combination of crisp and clean styling. The electric car comes with ‘Energetic Yellow’ accents and a prominent front grille. The car features side scuttles that house LED indicators and the Energetic Yellow ‘S’ logo. The EV also gets individual styling thanks to the Piano Black exterior and an Energetic Yellow ‘S’ logo. The brand also offers exclusive 17-inch Electric Power Spoke alloy wheels with Energetic Yellow accents. The alloy wheels also feature asymmetrical spokes a unique appearance and are aerodynamically optimised to improve efficiency.
On the inside, the Mini 3-door Cooper SE comes with an exclusive MINI Electric Interior Surface. The car comes with sports seats shod in Cloth/ Leatherette Combination Upholstery in Black Pearl/ Carbon Black. The EV features a new multifunction steering wheel with Nappa Leather integrating more functions but also at the same time reducing the control surfaces. The Mini 3-door Cooper SE comes with an 8.8-inch high-resolution, full-colour touchscreen. The car also features a new 5-inch digital Multifunction Instrument Display with a sleek Black Panel design.
Powering the all-electric Mini 3-door Cooper SE is a 184 hp/135 kW electric motor that produces 270 Nm of torque. This allows the electric Mini to sprint from 0-100 km in just 7.3 seconds. The power unit is coupled to a 32.6 kWh battery capacity which claims to return a driving range of up to 270 km. The car comes with fast charging feature and the brand boasts that at a 50 kW DC Charger it takes 36 mins to achieve 80% charge. At an 11 kW AC Charger the car takes 2 hours 30 minutes and at a 2.3 kW AC Charger it takes 9 hours 43 minutes to achieve an 80% state of charge.
