The Austrian motorcycle brand, Brixton, has finally entered the Indian shores by launching its modern classing 1200 cc motorcycle, Cromwell 1200. Cromwell 1200 has been introduced at the starting price of INR 7.84 lakh (ex showroom) and comes with a retro style themed look. The delivery of this bike will commence in January 2025.
Powertrain:
The bike has a 1222cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It generates power of 82bhp at 6,550 rpm and a torque of 108 Nm at 3,100 rpm. It has a 6 speed gearbox. It is claimed by the Brixton itself that the bike has a top speed of 198 kmph.
Brixton Cromwell 1200 features and chassis:
Brixton has offered various features in Cromwell 1200 such as all-LED lights, a TFT instrument cluster and a USB port. In terms of safety features, the bike gets ABS, traction control and cruise control. It has two riding modes: ‘Eco’ mode for maneuvering through the city and a ‘Sports’ mode for good agility and aggressive riding.
The bike stands on a double downtube cradle frame. The suspension at front has a KYB telescopic fork with 120 mm of travel and at rear it has preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers. When it comes to brakes, at front it has twin 310 mm discs and at rear a 260mm disc. Also, the bike has 18 inch and 17 inch wire-spoke rims at front and rear.
Cromwell 1200 along with other Brixton motorcycles, is going to be retailed by MotoHaus, formed by the collaboration of Brixton Motorcycles and Kaw Veloce Motors in India.
Brixton has also launched other motorcycle line-ups in India such as Cromwell 1200 X, Crossfire 500XC and Crossfire 500X. The Cromwell 1200X will be a limited edition piece with just 100 units available in India and will be introduced at a starting price of 9.11 lakh ( ex showroom).
