All-New 3rd Gen Honda Amaze sedan teased before Maruti Suzuki Dzire launch

Written by News Team

Honda Cars India has officially teased the all-new 3rd Generation Honda Amaze, just weeks before the launch of its closest competitor, the updated Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The new Amaze is set to hit the market in the coming weeks, with Honda aiming to capture the hearts of modern Indian buyers with its bold design and advanced technology.

Design and Features

The teaser image reveals a striking front fascia, featuring sleek LED headlights with a twin, cuboidal shape and a chrome strip extending across the grille. The design is inspired by the Honda City, giving the Amaze a more premium and sophisticated look. The new model is expected to be less than 4 meters long and will come with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, available with both manual and AMT or CVT gearbox options.

Enhanced Interior and Technology

The new Amaze is expected to feature several upgrades, including a revised dashboard layout with new features and technology, such as a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto AC, electric ORVMs, a semi-digital driver’s display, auto IRVM, cruise control, a wireless phone charger, and keyless entry. Safety features are also expected to be enhanced, with the top variant likely to include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, a rear parking camera with sensors, and ISOFIX mounts.

Competition and Market Position

The launch of the new Amaze comes just ahead of the updated Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which is scheduled to be launched on November 11. Maruti Suzuki has already opened pre-bookings for the fourth-generation Dzire, with a booking amount set at INR 11,000. The Dzire, a long-time rival of the Amaze, is also expected to receive significant updates to stay competitive in the market.

Target Audience and Expectations

Honda’s latest offering is aimed at young buyers and modern families, combining bold design, advanced technology, and Honda’s signature reliability. The new Amaze is expected to reinforce Honda’s position in the sub-4m sedan segment, which has seen increased competition from compact SUVs and sub-compact models.

Statement from Honda

Takuya Tsumura, President and CEO of Honda Cars India, expressed excitement about the new Amaze, stating, “The Honda Amaze has always been a special product for us and our customers in India. With the 3rd generation, we are excited to take this to the next level, offering our modern Indian customers an enhanced premium package like never before.”
