Maruti Suzuki launches Swift S-CNG with 32.85 km/kg mileage

Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Swift S-CNG in the Indian market at the price starting at INR 8,19,500 ex-showroom. The Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG also claims to be the most fuel-efficient hatchback in the segment. This is backed by the company’s claims of 32.85 km/kg of mileage on CNG fuel. Maruti Suzuki also revealed that the brand has sold over 2 million S-CNG vehicles to date, reducing 2 million tonnes of CO2 emissions. In the last fiscal the brand also recorded a growth in CNG sales in the passenger vehicle category. The growth has been 46.8% compared to FY2022-23, revealed Maruti Suzuki.

S-CNG Powertrain

Powering the Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG is the Z-series Dual VVT engine that produces 69.75 PS of power and a maximum torque of 101.8 Nm @ 2900 rpm. Even with CNG fuel the engine has managed to not only deliver ample amounts of torque but also further reduce the CO2 footprint. This has enabled the brand to earn the title of India’s most fuel-efficient premium hatchback in its segment, with its claimed mileage of 32.85 km/kg.

Price & Variants

Maruti Suzuki announced that the Swift S-CNG will be available in three variants. All three variants will be equipped only with a 5-Speed manual gearbox. Currently the brand is not offering an automatic transmission option with the Swift S-CNG. The price and variants of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift S-CNG are as follows :-

  • VXi CNG – INR 8,19,500
  • VXi (O) CNG – INR 8,46,500
  • ZXi CNG – INR – 9,19,500

Maruti Suzuki is also offering the Swift S CNG with the Maruti Suzuki Subscribe at an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee starting from INR 21,628. Maruti Suzuki has been retailing its CNG vehicles since 2010 and currently offers a range of 14 S-CNG powered vehicles across all body styles.
