Bajaj Auto has introduced the Chetak Blue 3202, an updated version of its popular electric scooter, at a competitive price of INR 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). This new model replaces the previously known Urbane variant, bringing enhancements to the scooter.
Enhanced Range and Features
The Chetak Blue 3202 retains the same 3.2 kWh battery capacity as its predecessor but boasts an improved range of 137 kilometers on a single charge, up from the previous 126 kilometers. This increase in range is attributed to the new cells used in the battery, which offer better efficiency without increasing the overall capacity.
Design and Technology
In terms of design, the Blue 3202 remains largely identical to the Urbane variant. It features a sleek and modern look, available in four colors: blue, white, black, and grey. The scooter is equipped with a Bluetooth-compatible color LCD display, providing riders with essential information at a glance. Additionally, it offers keyless ignition, enhancing convenience for users.
The Chetak Blue 3202 comes with two riding modes – Eco and Sports. The Eco mode is designed for maximum efficiency, while the Sports mode offers a more dynamic riding experience. The scooter has a top speed of 73 kmph, making it suitable for both city commutes and short highway rides.
Charging and Pricing
A full charge for the Blue 3202 takes approximately 5 hours and 50 minutes using the offboard 650 W charger. The scooter is priced at INR 1.15 lakh, which is INR 8,000 less than the previous Urbane variant. This price reduction, combined with the enhanced range, makes the Chetak Blue 3202 an attractive option for electric scooter enthusiasts.
Market Position and Competition
The Chetak Blue 3202 competes with other electric scooters in the market, such as the Ather 450X, Ola S1, TVS iQube, and Hero Vida V1. The enhancements in range and technology, coupled with a competitive price point, are likely to attract a wide range of customers looking for a reliable and stylish electric scooter.
