Maserati, the renowned Italian luxury automaker, has unveiled a bespoke Fuoriserie version of its latest creation, the GranCabrio Folgore, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Tignanello, a trailblazing red wine. The exclusive vehicle, crafted for Marchesi Antinori, will be auctioned at the prestigious Festival Napa Valley’s Arts for All Gala in California on July 14.
A Fusion of Heritage and Innovation
The collaboration between Maserati and Marchesi Antinori, a family-owned winery with a rich 600-year history, celebrates both brands’ enduring legacies. Maserati, a pioneer in automotive history, shares a spirit of innovation and passion with Marchesi Antinori, whose Tignanello wine has consistently pushed boundaries.
Inspired by the Vineyard
The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello draws inspiration from the Tignanello vineyard, symbolizing roots and territory. The custom Terra di Tignanello chestnut paint mirrors the vineyard’s soil, complemented by coppery burgundy accents reminiscent of Tignanello’s iconic red shades. The metallic finish pays homage to the estate’s atmosphere.
Exquisite Interiors
Inside, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello features luxurious details. The seats boast a multi-material silver and burgundy ribbed weave, made from Vegea—a groundbreaking fabric derived from vineyards. Dark briar wood panels, laser-etched with Tignanello’s history, adorn the cabin. The headrests combine the Maserati Trident with Tignanello’s sun emblem, while the central tunnel bears the significant dates 1971-2021, marking 50 years since Tignanello’s debut.
This unique collaboration underscores Maserati’s commitment to blending tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation, creating an ode in motion to Tignanello’s legacy. As the auction approaches, collectors and enthusiasts eagerly await the chance to own this remarkable piece of automotive and vinicultural history.
