Indian transnational conglomerate Hinduja Group’s Switch Mobility has rolled out its first IeV4 electric light commercial vehicle. The Switch Intelligent Electric Vehicle (IeV) was flagged off by the company CEO Mahesh Babu, at their Hosur plant. Switch’s IeV is India’s first EV in 2~3.5T category and the Iev4 features a 1700 Kg (FSD) payload capacity.
Switch Mobility claims that the Switch IeV Series is a game-changer in the electric Light Commercial Vehicle (eLCV) segment. The brand’s eLCV also claims to redefine the mid and last-mile transportation. The Switch IeV also claims to have an industry-leading turnaround time. This will not only offer efficient and sustainable urban mobility but also revolutionize last-mile logistics, reveals Switch.
Switch IeV4 – Technical Specifications
The Switch IeV4 comes with a 32.2 kWh LFP battery pack that offers a range of 120 km on a single charge. The eLCV comes with a 60 kW power and 230 Nm of torque. This allows 23% gradability and a maximum speed of 80 kmph. The Switch IeV4 comes with 9.7 ft X 5.7 ft X 1.6 ft Cargo Body Dimension-FSD and 340 CFT container suitability.
The Switch IeV4 comes with two charging options AC and DC. The AC charging option comes Standard with a Type 2 AC charger. The DC charger is an optional – CCS2 (AC & DC). It takes approximately 8 hours on an AC 15A using a 3.3 kW charger. The optional DC charger, recharges the eLCV in just 75 mins using a 30 kW charger. This reduces the turnaround time of the eLCV, increasing productivity.
In addition to this, the IeV4 also comes with driver plus two seating capacity and creature comfort features. This includes a dual tone dashboard, Reverse Park Alert, 2 USB ports, a Lockable Glove Box for safety and Music/Radio/AUX/USB provision. Furthermore, the eLCV also comes with a sliding and reclining driver seat, electric power steering and hill hold assist.
Switch also offers the IeV4 with 3 Years or 150,000 Km vehicle warranty and 5 Years and 150,000 Km battery warranty.
