Pinnacle Industries has unveiled seating options for the Vande Bharat Express. The Pune based company will offer advanced seating systems for the select trains of the Indian Railways. Pinnacle’s railway seating division has expertise in design, engineering and manufacturing of certified seats that are not just compliant to Indian requirements but also meet global safety and comfort standards.
New Seating System for Indian Railways : More Details
There are a variety of seats offered by Pinnacle Industries. These include Economy, Executive, Tip-Up and Folding Seats. All of these are designed to offer the highest comfort, safety and seamlessness during train rides.
The Economy seats come in single, dual or triple seat configurations. Each seat comes with modular charging units and an ergonomically designed seat foam profile.
Meanwhile, the Executive ones have been designed to offer a premium experience. Hence they offer 180-degree rotating seats, a sunken grab handle, passenger footrest with 3 adjustment levels and a charging unit. These Executive seats come with Wago connector components, which offer seamless electrical connections to various components. Furthermore, these seats also get foldable arm rests. Notably, the middle arm rest gets a sunken tray snack table for extra space.
The Tip-up seats and Folding seats offer flexible utilisation of the available space. When not required, these can be folded to make space for additional luggage space.
All these seats are made from Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP). Additionally, they are compliant with the European standard for fire retardation. Overall, they offer higher safety levels with comfort for rail passengers.
International Railway Equipment Exhibition
The company will also display various products at the International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE). This will be conducted from 12-14 October 2023 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. This is Asia’s largest exhibition for Rail Transport. The Exhibition is hosed by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.
