Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has brought in the MY23 iteration of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle for the Indian market. The updated motorcycle now gets three new colour options to choose from. These are Lime Green, Candy Lime Green, and Metallic MoondustGrey.
Updated Engine To Comply With BS6 Phase 2 Emission Norms
The updated Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle also now features an updated powertrain. This unit is compatible with the latest BS6 Phase 2 emission norms and comes with an OBD2 port as well. That being said, the basics of the engine remain unchanged. And thus this is the same unit in the previous iteration. Ninja 300 continues with the 296cc, parallel-twin, 8-valve, liquid-cooled engine. This engine according to Kawasaki makes 38.5 BHP and 26.1Nm of peak torque. All the power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed gearbox. To make things easier, the MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 300 also features an assist & slipper clutch as well.
Mechanical And Hardware Highlights
In terms of hardware, the MY23 Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle gets a long feature list. The motorcycle comes equipped with a pair of 37mm conventional telescopic suspensions at the front and a linkage-equipped Uni-Trak mono-shock at the rear. Braking power comes from a 290mm petal disc brake held by a 2-piston calliper at the front. And for the rear, we have a 220mm petal disc held by a single-piston calliper.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 continues to grab significant attention and takers. It is a very good choice for the ones looking to get a twin-cylinder sports motorcycle. Given the rise in sports motorcycles in India, Ninja 300 faces tough competition from KTM RC 390. Although the KTM is cheaper and comes with better equipment. Kawasaki wins it with its smooth twin-cylinder engine and its ability to transform into a decent touring bike.
