Range Rover has unveiled the 2023 Range Rover Sport SV. This SUV is the most powerful Range Rover and replaces the Range Rover Sport SVR.

On the outside, the new Sport SV is pretty much similar to the outgoing model. The main changes are however inside and under the hood.
Range Rover has equipped the SUV with innovative front seat transducers. Coupled with the 29 speaker, 1430W Meridian Sound system, the occupants, especially the front seat ones, are in for a treat. These front seat transducers allow the occupants to feel the music. This is achieved by sending vibrations as per the music being played. This system is known as Body and Soul Seats (BASS). Apart from music, occupants can also run a wellness program that is said to have a calm down effect.
Owners of the Range Rover Sport SV will also be able to configure their SUVs with optional carbon fibre goodies. These include 23-inch wheels, which are a world’s first for carbon fibre wheels in this size. They are able to reduce the weight by 36 kg. Further, there are optional carbon ceramic brakes and carbon hood that will reduce the weight of this heavy SUV by a further 112 kg.
Powertrain of the 2023 Range Rover Sport SV
The SUV has ditched the supercharged 5.0L V8 motor source from JLR. Instead the Range Rover Sport SV now gets a BMW sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine with a hybrid system. The engine is rated at 626 HP / 800 Nm.
In terms of performance, the SUV will do 0-100 km/h in 3/6 seconds with a top speed of 290 km/h.
Availability of the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV
It is reported that Land Rover will launch the first lot of this SUV only as an Edition One variant. This means, Edition One customers will be hand picked by the car maker by Invitation-only basis. The exact price and timeline for launch is not yet revealed.
