Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated version of their Light Commercial Vehicle – Super Carry in the Indian market. The brand claims that the MY23 Super Carry will deliver superior performance than before. The latest model is available in 4 variants with prices starting at INR 5,30,500 for the Gasoline Deck variant, INR 5,15,500 for the Gasoline Cab Chassis variant, INR 6,30,500 for the CNG deck variant and INR 6,15,500 for the CNG Cab Chassis variant. Maruti Suzuki has sold more than 1.5 lakh units of the Super Carry since launch in 2016.

Powering the MY23 Maruti Suzuki Super Carry LCV is a 1.2L, K-Series, dual jet, dual VVT engine. This is a 4-cylinder motor which produces 80.7 PS of power @ 6000 RPM and 104.4 Nm of torque @ 2900 RPM when in petrol mode. The same motor produces 71.6 PS and 95 Nm when in CNG mode. The engine comes matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The Super Carry has a payload capacity of 740 kg in petrol option and 625 kg in CNG option. The vehicle measures 3800mm in length, 1883mm in height, 1562mm in width and 2110mm in wheelbase. Said to be a safety feature, the Super Carry now also gets and engine immobiliser. There’s also an emergency 5L petrol tank. Maruti Suzuki is pitching the latest Super Carry as India’s most powerful mini-truck.

This is a commercial vehicle, to features are as per segment standards. The Super Carry comes with a front disc brake, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminder, new steering wheel which is lighter to use, improved gear shifts, better ride quality and flat seat design for maximum space.
The new Super Carry is sold only at Maruti Suzuki’s commercial showrooms which are present in 270+ cities, with a 370+ touchpoint count. Maruti Suzuki however faces tough competition in this LCV segment from the Tata Ace, which is the most preferred choice for most applications in this space.
