Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine Options And Mechanicals
As mentioned, the India-spec Grand Cherokee continues with the 272 HP, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The customers get to use the eight-speed automatic transmission. The manual gearbox is not available with the Grand Cherokee. Power is sent to all four wheels and the Grand Cherokee also benefits from selectable terrain modes. This includes Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand and Snow. Interestingly enough, the Grand Cherokee is one of the few cars in the segment to get exclusively a petrol engine only.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Key Design, Interior and Features
The Grand Cherokee design is of a typical Jeep family. With the updated model a lot has changed. But still, it retails the typically recognisable Grand Cherokee outlook. On the inside, we get to see a 10.1-inch passenger-side screen along with the 10.1-inch screen for the touchscreen infotainment. The Grand Cherokee comes only as a 5-seater. And thus, the Indian market misses out on the three-row version known as the Grand Cherokee L, sold in international markets. In terms of features, the Grand Cherokee is pretty much up there. Key features include, heads-up display, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, ADAS tech and eight airbags.
