Ducati has announced the continuation of the Ducati Rider Experience for the 2023 Season. THe DRE is nothing but an experiential program that allows motorcycling enthusiasts to receive training for experts, track riding experience across the world as well as a chance to experience a wide range of Ducati motorcycles.
What is the Ducati Rider Experience?
First started back in 2003, the DRE has had over 28,000 participants. Over these 20 years, riders got to experience emotions, fun and safety on Ducati motorcycles. For 2023, the Italian bike maker has ensured to include a host of activities that would satisfy every type of motorcycling enthusiast. Ducati offers five experiences suitable for every style. These include Rookie, Road, Track Warm Up, Racetrack and Adventure. For each course, Ducati will have its fleet of motorcycles ready for the participants. Apart from this, riders can also rent gear and opt for a personalised photo-video service.
For 2023, the DRE Academy Riding courses and the DRE Travel Adventures are the two new add-ons.
DRE Track Warm Up
For the 2023 season, the Track Warm Up is now separated from the DRE Racetrack, giving participants a specific focus for learning the basics of riding between the curbs. First, there will be a theory briefing held by the Technical Director. This will talk about the ideal position on the seat, braking, acceleration and riding techniques. After this, there will be a series of exercises in the paddock. Only after these sessions will the riders be taken out to the track. Riders will get the Ducati Panigale V2 for 5 sessions on the track. A specialized instructor will offer advice before each shift and there will be a dedicated debrief after each session.
DRE Racetrack
The DRE Racetrack will offer a chance to hone specific skills on the track. This is for riders who previously have track experience. The event will take place on the tracks that have previously held the MotoGP World Championship. It is offered in 3 levels of experience – Track Evo, Track Evo2 and Track Master.
DRE Adventure
Designed for those seeking adventure touring, the DRE Adventure will focus on and off-road riding using the Multistrada V4 and DesertX bikes. This is a two day program in the fascinating Tuscan hills in the spectacular location of the Nipozzano Castle, in which to learn different techniques through accurate teaching lessons and exciting riding sessions. For the 2023 season ,the bike options will include the new Multistrada V4 Rally.
DRE Travel Adventures
These are a series of bike trips designed to intrigue, amuse and excite motorcyclists. These include the iDesertX Expedition, Dream Tour and Multistrada Expedition which have met with positive demand from enthusiasts. All these three have been confirmed for 2023 season with more such organized tours on the cards.
