Hyundai Motor India Ltd has reported its August 2022 sales figure. The South Korean carmaker registered domestic sales of 49,510 units and export sales of 12,700 units. This takes the cumulative sales figure to 62,210 units for the given month. Domestic sales figures accounted for 49,510 units of sales for August 2022. The figure for the same period last year stood at 46,866 units, thus resulting in a growth of 5.6 per cent. In terms of international business, HMIL exported a total of 12,700 units, up from 12,202 units in August 2022. This results in a growth of 4.1 per cent. All in all, accounting for both domestic and exports, the figure stood at 62,210 units. This, when compared to August 2021’s figure at 59,068 units, translates to a growth of 5.3 per cent.
Hyundai mentioned that the semiconductor situation is in much better shape now. Supplies continue to go up, thus enabling Hyundai to serve its customers to their best. Now with the upcoming festival season, which has already kicked off in India with Onam and Ganesh Chaturthi, the sales will only grow from here. The newly launched Hyundai TUCSON has also received an overwhelmingly positive customer response with great booking numbers. Thus Hyundai will continue to strive towards improving customer experience towards a happy life.
Hyundai Tucson Safety Rating
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson, which has already been launched in India, is sold out for the entire year. Such has been the success of the SUV. Although the India-spec Hyundai Tucson has not been crash-tested yet, the New Gen Hyundai Tucson scored a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating in November 2021. Now, in the Latin NCAP crash test, the SUV has surprisingly scored a 0-star safety rating. This is for the base variant with 2 airbags, as against the Tucson 2022 variant with 6 airbags has managed to score a 3-star safety rating. Noteworthy to mention previous gen Tucson had also scored a 0-star safety rating at Latin NCAP last year.
