Written by Rohit Tonapi

Skoda India has just announced a new ‘Fans of Skoda’ initiative. The brand says it will be a path-breaking initiative when it comes to customer engagement, satisfaction and involvement. The campaign directly involves and engages with Skoda’s customers and fans of the brand. These customers and fans of Skoda can directly participate in drives, events and product launches.

Skoda Auto India’s Brand Director, Zac Hollis, said that it is a project that is close to his heart. He stated that he always enjoyed interacting with Skoda customers, which will further enhance the brand engagement. Furthermore, it will also increase involvement with fans who love Skoda cars, says Zac Hollis. According to Zac Hollis, satisfied customers and an organic fan community make a difference between a successful and an iconic brand. Skoda is also expanding its network and increasing customer touchpoints to help the brand get closer to its customers.

Under this initiative, Skoda will conduct 15 customer activities across a host of cities. The list includes – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Noida and Surat. Skoda customers can register for participation using the official Skoda website.

The new initiative for customer engagement comes on the back of some incredible success and record-breaking sales for Skoda India. In the first half of this year, Skoda surpassed its annual sales of 2021. The brand also crossed 205 customer touchpoints in India.

Skoda In India

Currently, Skoda has five products in its Indian lineup. These include 3 sedans and 2 SUVs. The sedan offerings from the brand are – Slavia, Octavia & Superb. On the other hand, the two SUV offerings are – Kushaq & Kodiaq. The company currently manufactures only two of these locally, the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia. The other models come in Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) kits. These are then assembled in the country.

The Slavia and Kushaq are a part of Skoda’s India 2.0 Project. Both the products have received a great response from buyers. This is also reflected in the sales figures of these two products. So far, the two models have helped Skoda break several of its sales records. This is despite the pandemic and supply chain issues limiting the production. The increase in demand for SUVs means the Kushaq and Kodiaq SUVs are always in demand. In fact, Skoda has already sold out the entire lot of the Kodiaq for 2022.
