High-performance sports car maker Porsche has officially launched Porsche Approved in India. This is its official used car buying channel. With such an addition, Porsche is the first supercar company in India to have an official used car buying channel. This will prove to attract more customers to the brand. Hence, customers can now experience the models at more affordable prices. Moreover, this initiative also intends to keep the old Porsches running on the street with proper service and support. A new Porsche has a waiting period of 1 to 2 years due to the ongoing semiconductor shortage. Hence, this programme is a great alternative for someone looking to buy a car right away.
Porsche Approved Features
All cars sold via this channel will undergo strict checkups. Furthermore, there is one condition for a Porsche to be eligible for this programme. The car’s age should not cross the 6 years threshold, or the total mileage should be less than 2,00,000 km. Post qualifying this checkout, the vehicle will undergo a 111-point checklist. This will ensure that the car is up to the standards Porsche sets. Porsche will fix it before officially listing it on the channel.
Customers buying a used car from Porsche Approved will get a minimum 12-month warranty. In addition to this, they will also get 24-hour roadside assistance. Under warranty, Porsche will cover all essential vehicle components, along with labour charges. To clarify, consumables and wear and tear parts are not a part of this warranty service. These include wiper blades, tyres, fluids, and brake pads.
Interested customers can go through the list of Porsche Approved vehicles on the carmaker’s official website with all necessary details like service history, spec and build, and the new resale price. In addition to this, if a customer wishes to check out the vehicles physically, they can visit their nearest Porsche Approved dealership. The first car under this programme was a 991 generation of the 911 GT3. The car was delivered to a customer at Porsche Centre in Kochi.
