As India’s electric two-wheeler space continues to witness extensive expansion, Ather Energy has recorded its overall sales numbers for March 2022. The electric manufacturer’s sales report showcases its ongoing partnerships, domestic sales, financial options for customers, achievements, and its experience centres. Overall, Ather Energy is actively working towards reducing the demand-supply gap for its customers due to the ongoing semiconductor shortage. By sorting out its supply chain issues, Ather Energy can focus on expanding across India by setting up its EV network.
Sales Report for March 2022
Ather Energy’s sales report for March 2022 states that it sold a total of 2,591 units in India. The brand has recorded a growth of 120% compared to March 2021. Ather Energy also rolled out its 25,000th 450X e-scooter in March 2022. Ather Energy also announced the brand’s strategic partnership with Foxconn Technology Group Company, Bharat FIH. This partnership has allowed the brand to cater to and fulfil the growing demand for 450X and 450 Plus e-scooters for Indian customers.
During this month, Ather Energy also announced its partnerships with HDFC and IDFC First Banks to offer easy financing options. Along with bagging the CNB two-wheeler Manufacturer of the Year Award 2022, Ather Energy also inaugurated four new experience centres. This includes the 3rd experience centre in Bengaluru along with Ather Space centres at Guwahati, Vijayawada, and Tirupati. Therefore, Ather Energy has successfully managed to make its presence known across a total of 28 Indian cities.
About the 450 Series e-scooters & Other Achievements
Currently, Ather Energy offers two e-scooters for the Indian market – the 450 Plus and the flagship 450X. The latter uses a 6kW, Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor coupled to a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. With this setup, the 450X produces 26 Nm of torque with a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 3.3 seconds. Along with a claimed range of 116 km per charge, the e-scooter sports a competitive price tag that varies amongst states. Meanwhile, Ather Energy partnered with the all-new IPL franchise named Gujarat Titans and signed an MoU with the Karnataka Government in February 2022.
