Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has officially announced the launch of its all-new Destini 125 ‘XTEC’ scooter across the country. Following its aggressive growth strategy in the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp has equipped the new Destini with technological and convenient features. The brand will offer the new Destini 125 ‘XTEC’ scooter in two trims across all its dealerships in India. The entry-level STD variant costs INR 69,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) whereas the top-spec XTEC costs INR 79,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
2022 Hero Destini 125: Design Details
The new elegant Hero Destini 125 ‘XTEC’ packs a plethora of design and theme elements that add to its appeal. These include multiple premium chrome elements on the mirrors, muffler protector, and handlebar that enhances style along with durability. Not only do these elements showcase the retro theme of the scooter, but it also provides enhanced comfort and convenience.
Hero MotoCorp has also equipped the scooter with ‘XTEC’ badging, a dual-tone seat, an LED headlamp and coloured inner panels. Along with an all-new Nexus Blue colour for the top-spec ‘XTEC’ trim, the Destini also sports six different colours. These include Matte Black, Pearl Silver White, Nobel Red, Panther Black, Chestnut Brown, and Matte Ray Silver.
2022 Hero Destini 125: Technical Specs & Features
Powering the all-new Destini 125 is a 124.6cc, air-cooled, four-stroke SI engine, producing 9 PS and 10.4 Nm. With a Self-Start/Kick-Start functionality, the scooter sports a Variomatic Drive gearbox and a Dry, Centrifugal Clutch mechanism. For handling and comfort, the Destini 125 features a front telescopic hydraulic shock absorber and a rear spring-loaded hydraulic damper. With 130mm drum brakes on both ends, the Destini 125 also sports 10-inch alloy wheels with a 5-litre fuel tank.
Overall, the new scooter sports 155mm of ground clearance, a 1,245mm wheelbase, and 778mm of seat height. In terms of features and creature comforts, the scooter gets a new digital-analogue speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity. The system displays incoming and missed call alerts, new message alerts, timings, along with the RTMI and low fuel indicator. Additionally, the scooter also gets a front USB charging port, side-stand engine cut-off functionality, and Hero’s revolutionary i3S technology.
