Suzuki Motorcycle India announces its sales report for January 2022. The two-wheeler maker sold a total of 70,092 units for the given period. In the domestic market, Suzuki Motorcycles India registered a total sales of 60,623 units. And in the international market, the company exported close to 9,469 units. When compared to January 2021 figures, Suzuki Motorcycle India witnessed an over 8% increase in January 2022. Despite the global semiconductor shortage and difficulties thrown by COVID-19, the company recorded growth in the domestic as well as in the exports market. Suzuki Motorcycle thanked the efforts of all their customers, dealer partners, and staff members for this exceptional growth rate.
Suzuki Motorcycle India: 6 Million Units Produced Till Date
The motorcycle maker recently rolled out its six millionth unit from its Gurugram plant in the form of a Suzuki Avenis. Given the semiconductor situation and the Covid-19 situation, this is quite an achievement. Moreover, 2022 also marks the two-wheeler maker’s 15 years in the country. This remarkable figure does reflect upon the customer’s trust in the Suzuki brand and its dedication to serving the Indian market. Currently, Suzuki India has 8 products on sale for the Indian market. This includes Access, Burgman Street and Avenis in the scooter segment. Meanwhile, for the motorcycle segment, Suzuki has the Gixxer Series and the Intruder.
Suzuki Avenis 125
Given the growing demand for scooters in the market, Suzuki has come up with a new offering. With personal mobility getting more important, there’s a significant rise in the growth rate of scooters. These are perfect for traffic and city conditions. Moreover, scooters are also preferred by a wider range of audiences, thus increasing the target audience. This helps in the marketing, thus generating more sales. This scooter, priced at INR 86,700 (ex-showroom), locks its horns with the other offerings in the 125cc segment. This includes the likes of Honda Grazia, Activa 125 and TVS Ntroq. With a FI enabled 125cc engine, the performance figure stands at 10 Nm and 8.7 PS.
