2014 Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge India Edition

The Force Gurkha Rainforest Challenge India Edition commenced on 8^th of August and will go on till 14^th of August, 2014.

Participants of the Force Gurkha RFC India Edition 2014 need to have a registered 4WD or an All-Terrain vehicle (ATV). They can participate as competitors or as touring adventurers. Each vehicle can have a maximum of two contestants. Entry fees are as follows:

Touring vehicles: Rs. 10,000
Competitors: Rs. 75,000
Foreign touring entries: Rs. 20,361 (USD 333)
Foreign competitors: Rs. 1,52,975 (USD 2,500)

There will be four stages to the event such as prologue, predator, terminator and twilight. On completion of each stage, the winner gets 100 points and those who do not finish, can move on to the next stage with 20 points. You have to complete each stage in 15 minutes.

There is a long list of penalties which are applicable if rules are not followed. Helmets, harnesses and proper clothing gear are mandatory. Participants cannot wear short pants and 3/4^th pants which are very popular amongst off-road enthusiasts.
