Suzuki Motorcycle India hits get another milestone. On Monday, the two-wheeler maker rolled out its 6th million units from its Gurugram manufacturing facility. This is quite an achievement amidst the Covid-19 situation all across the country. Furthermore, the supply of semiconductor chips has also not been favourable to any of the automotive companies. The cherry on the cake is that this is also the year Suzuki Motorcycle completes 15 years in the country. The 6 million sales figure is quite an achievement, and it is a testimony of Suzuki’s dedication to serving the Indian market.
Suzuki Motorcycle India’s lineup Of Products
Currently, the two-maker has a total of 8 products on sale. This includes Avenis, Access and Burgman Street in the scooter segment. Meanwhile, in the motorcycle industry, Suzuki’s portfolio consists of the Gizzer Series and the Intruder. Suzuki Motorcycle for the month of December 2021, Suzuki Motorcycle India was the 5th most selling two-wheeler brand. The company sold a total of 51,148 scooters and motorcycles for the given period.
Suzuki’s scooter range is quite successful in the country. For the past few years, the sales of scooters have been on the rise. These gearless two-wheelers are a delight to ride on the jam-packed urban roads. With the increase in demand for personal mobility after Covid-19 hit the country, scooters are in much demand. Suzuki’s current range of scooters fulfils the requirements of a wide range of audience. And hence, the increase in sales figures.
Suzuki Avenis 125 – The latest addition
Avenis 125 was introduced for the Indian market at the start of this month. With a sticker price of INR 86,700, this scooter will go head to head with other 125cc scooters on sale. This includes the likes of TVS Ntroq, Honda Grazia and Activa 125. Avenis 125 gets a 125cc engine with FI technology. The performance output figure of the scooter stands at 8.7 PS and 10Nm.
