Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli has unveiled the latest 2022 Leoncino 125 at the EICMA 2021 show in Milan. The Chinese-owned two-wheeler manufacturer will most likely sell the new Leoncino 125 in the European market based on recent reports. For the 2022 Leoncino 125, Benelli has drawn inspiration from the design utilized on the Leoncino 250 and 500, respectively. Benelli may also bring the new Leoncino 125 to India where it currently sells the 500.
2022 Benelli Leoncino 125: Design Details
For the 2022 Leoncino 125, Benelli has implemented a retro-themed design with two colour options – grey and green. For the Leoncino 125, Benelli has used a unique Lion of Pesaro motif on the front fender. The bike also features a single-piece seat, a side-slung exhaust, a rear-fender mounted number plate, and split-style alloy wheels.
2022 Benelli Leoncino 125: Technical Specs
Powering the new Leoncino 125 is a 125cc, single-cylinder engine that puts out 12.8 PS and 10 Nm. With the engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the bike features upside-down telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock. For braking performance, the bike features petal-type brake discs on both ends along with 17-inch wheels.
2022 Benelli Leoncino 125: Rivals
If Benelli does bring the new 2022 Leoncino 125 to India, it will go up against rivals like KTM and Bajaj. Achieving massive success in India, The long-standing KTM Duke 125 and Bajaj Pulsar NS125 continue their popularity amongst the youth. Benelli will try its best to steal the crown of the best affordable 125cc bike from its rivals.

Along with revealing the 2022 Leoncino 125, Benelli also unveiled its new TRK 800 at EICMA 2021. With the launch of this motorcycle, Benelli aims to advance its adventure portfolio for the international markets. The motorcycle manufacturer has stated that the adventure bike will make its debut in the 2nd half of 2022. Alongside the Leoncino 125, Benelli may also introduce the new TRK 800 for the Indian market after their international launch.
