Mahindra recently launched the Bolero Neo in India, starting at INR 8.48 lakh (ex-showroom). But, at the time of launch, Mahindra had not disclosed the price for the top-spec N10(O) trim. But now, the company has officially announced the price for this trim, which stands at INR 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom). And the key addition to this trim is the mechanically locking rear differential, aka Multi-Terrain Technology, as Mahindra likes to call it. As per customers feedback, who faced a lot of issues while driving in rough terrain, Mahindra has now decided to offer this locking differential with the car.
What’s The Use Of This Mechanical Lock Differential?
The use of this equipment comes in handy in off-road conditions, mainly when one of the rear wheels lifts off the ground. Without an MLD, the engine will send all the power to the wheel that is in the air. And due to this, the car will never come out of the ditch. And this is where the MLD plays a major role. This equipment locks both the rear wheel together and diverts the power to the wheel that is on the ground. This mechanical feature is a great addition for customers who mostly drive on these difficult surfaces on a regular basis.
Differences In N10 and N10(O) Trim
The price variation between the N10 and N10(O) trim is around INR 70,000. And the only difference is the mechanical locking differential equipped in the N10(O) trim. Other than this, all other features are exactly the same in both trims. This includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth, LED DRLs, 15-inch alloy wheels, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, air conditioning with Eco mode, front armrests, height-adjustable driver’s seat and electronically adjustable ORVMs.
Price Details and More
