We believe motorcycles are an extension of who we are. And everyone wants their motorcycle to be special, different from the others. That’s why people customize, modify bikes. KTM, Being the next big thing after the R15; it’s a rage for track junkies. Here are some suggested mods for the KTM RC series which will definitely make heads turn and at the same time provide protection to your motorcycle. These mods dont just add appeal, they will render your bike track ready in our opinion.
Fender eliminator: Also known as tail tidy kit, gives the bike even sportier look. Available online on eBay and other portals. Definitely will make heads turn.

Adjustable Race levers: You’ll get these on eBay.com with various colors. Orange goes the best with KTM. You also get fold-able ones so in case of a crash they don’t break off.
Adjustable brake / clutch lever
Race lever guard: Not much use on the street but does help during a closed circuit race when there’s close contact. Definitely adds an edge to your motorcycle and makes it looks meaner.

Headlight Guard: Following the lines of the front screen, the perforated aluminum guard blends with the front of the bike. You can get many such headlight guards in aftermarket shops online.

Radiator Guard: Radiators don’t come cheap. A radiator guard will provide protection to the KTM’s radiator and also adding aesthetic appeal at the same time.

Petal disc rotors: This will be on a higher side in terms of cost, but if you’re willing to spend some extra bucks, this will look wicked on your KTM. Of course it will also add more braking power.

Frame, fork sliders: The best protection for your motorcycle in case of a spill. Saves your plastics, and a lot of money by getting these Crash Bobbins.

Mirror blanking plates: Now we have to agree that the RC looks sharper without the antenna like rearview mirrors. You can do away the mirrors but mind that its not legal in India. Cops can trouble you for having no mirrors. Its a different story if you’re taking the bike on the race track or a KTM track day. Lose the mirrors and use aftermarket mirror blanking plates to cover up the slit.

Fear not duke owners, these mods can be fitted on duke 200/390 too (except the headlight guard). All these changes does make you bike look good, but also makes it track ready. Most of these are also available with KTM’s powerparts but sadly KTM powerparts isn’t available in India.
