6 new 400cc class motorcycles coming to India

The 400-450 cc motorcycle segment in India is set to offer a wide range of options to customers, with brands like Harley-Davidson, Triumph, Hero MotoCorp, and Royal Enfield planning to introduce new models in the near future. Here are the key details:

 

  1. Harley-Davidson X440

    Harley-Davidson, in partnership with Hero MotoCorp, will launch the X440. This a neo-retro roadster with an appealing design. The launch will happen on July 3. The bike will feature LED lighting, USD front forks, dual-channel ABS, and other features. It will use a new 440 cc air-cooled engine with an oil cooler.

  2. Triumph Roadster/Scrambler

    Triumph recently unveiled the 400 cc roadster or scrambler models in the UK. And it will announce its prices in India on July 5. Spy images of these motorcycles, developed through the Bajaj-Triumph alliance, have been circulating online. Both models will come equipped with a new 400 cc liquid-cooled engine.

 

  1. Hero Xtreme 440R

    Speculations suggest that Hero MotoCorp is working on a naked motorcycle. This will come based on the same engine as the Harley-Davidson X440. It might come under the name of Xtreme 440R. We expect this motorcycle to arrive next year. Thus, preceding the arrival of the 420 cc liquid-cooled engine-equipped Xtreme and Xpulse models planned for 2025.

 

  1. Royal Enfield Himalayan 450

    Royal Enfield is developing five new 450 cc motorcycles for the Indian and international markets. The Himalayan 450 is likely the first to arrive in the coming months. This will position above the existing Himalayan 411. It will feature all-LED lighting, USD forks, an offset monoshock and more. The motorcycle will also get a new 450 cc liquid-cooled engine capable of producing 40 BHP. It will directly compete with the KTM 390 Adventure.

 

  1. Royal Enfield Hunter 450

    Building upon the success of the Hunter 350, Royal Enfield is planning to introduce the Hunter 450 roadster in early 2024. This model will compete against the Harley-Davidson X440, Triumph Roadster, next-gen KTM 390 Duke, and TVS Apache RTR 310 naked.

 

  1. Next-Gen KTM 390 Duke

    The next-generation KTM 390 Duke has been spotted in testing. It will make its debut worldwide later this year, followed by an Indian launch in early 2024. It takes its inspiration from the 1290 Super Duke R. It will feature a larger 399-cc engine, delivering increased power and several mechanical updates.
