India’s largest tipper truck Tata Signa 4825.TK launched

Tata Motors has launched the Signa 4825.TK which is positioned as India’s largest Tipper Truck in the Commercial Vehicle space. The Tata Signa 4825.TK claims to be the very first 47.5-tonne multi-axle tipper truck for surface transport of coal and construction aggregates. The Tata Signa 4825.TK comes with an enormous load bucket which is able to shift 29 cubic metre load per trip and the tipper truck comes factory fitted with the 29 cubic metre tipper body and hydraulics. The truck is offered in two configurations – 10×4 and 10×2 for customer flexibility and application.

The Tata Signa 4825.TK is designed for high productivity and faster turnaround thanks to its unmatched gross vehicle weight. Tata boasts that the Signa 4825.TK has been developed using the brand’s ‘Power of 6 philosophy’ that offer enhanced performance, higher payload capacity, a lower total cost of ownership, higher comfort and safety for the driver.

Powering the Tata Signa 4825.TK is a BS6 emission compliant Cummins ISBe 6.7-litre engine that produces 250 Hp of power and 950 Nm of torque matched to a heavy-duty G1150 9-speed gearbox, with 430mm dia organic clutch. The gear ratios have been optimised for surface transportation and claim to reduce fuel consumption. The brand has also equipped the Signa 4825.TK with three drive modes – Light, Medium and Heavy that ensures optimum power and torque selection, based on the load and terrain translating into high fuel efficiency.

The Signa 4825.TK comes with a suspended cabin to lower the NVH levels even on rough terrain, a powerful air conditioning system, high seating position, bigger daylight opening, rearview mirror, blind spot mirror, solid steel 3-piece bumper and a crash-tested cabin. The tipper truck also features highlights such as a spacious sleeper cabin, tilt and telescopic steering system, 3-way mechanically-adjustable comfortable driving seat and easy-shift gears.

The Tata Signa 4825.TK features Tata Motors’ next-gen digital solution – Fleet Edge as a standard fitment and other advanced features such as Hill Start Assist (HSA), Engine Brake and iCGT brake for greater vehicle control and lower operating costs. It is also equipped with various sensors to detect and prevent a possible topple while tipping, increasing the safety quotient. The entire range of Tata Motors M&HCV trucks comes with the best-in-the-industry warranty of 6 years / 6 lakh kilometres along with Tata Sampoorna Seva 2.0 and Tata Samarth.
