American premium car manufacturer Jeep could introduce its new Wrangler Sahara soon in India. The Jeep Wrangler Sahara was recently spotted testing around Pune. The 4th generation model was last seen testing in June last year.
On the exterior, the Jeep Wrangler Sahara sports a four-door body with signature circular headlamps and Jeep’s trademark 7-slated grille. Front fenders house LED daytime running lights and bumper integrated fog lights with chrome bezels. The alloy wheels come in a 5-spoke and multi-spoke 18-inch options. On the interior, the Jeep Wrangler sports a central 8.4-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, large rugged controls for the air conditioning system, seats are offered in black as well as tan fabric and leather trim options. The instrument console is a twin-dial with analogue tachometer and speedometer and a 7-inch central digital colour MID which displays key vehicle data and navigation information.
The Jeep Wrangler Sahara is powered by a 3.6-litre, 24-valve, V6-cylinder, Pentastar petrol engine with 285 BHP of power and 353 Nm of torque. The other engine options available for the Jeep Wrangler in the U.S include a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol producing 270 BHP of power and 400 Nm of torque, a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder diesel producing 197 BHP of power and 450 Nm of torque and a 3.0-litre V 6-cylinder diesel producing 240 BHP of power and 570 Nm of torque. The engines comes mated to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission.
All the Jeep Wrangler models get 4-wheel drive with a Command Trac 2-speed transfer case as standard.
