300 PS Range Rover Sport petrol launched at INR 86.71 lakh

Jaguar Land Rover has announced the launch of the Range Rover Sport in India with a new engine. The SUV will be offered in three trim variants and will be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that can do a top speed of more than 200 kmph. The MY2019 Range Rover Sport is now available across all showrooms.

The 2019 Range Rover Sport features elements like LED headlights, LED wraparound taillights, bumper-integrated exhaust finishers in chrome, etc. On the inside, the dashboard has a touch pro duo infotainment system. It comes with three-zone Climate Control, Protect (a connectivity feature), Control Pro, Park Pack and Cabin Air Ionisation. The seats come in four choices of leather and in various shade options along with dual tone designs. The command shift 2 gives the driver a sporty driving position with intuitive control along with gearshift paddle on the steering wheel and a 12.3-inch full-colour driver display

The Range Rover Sport features Adaptive Dynamics which monitors the vehicle’s movements up to 500 times per second and balances the ride by using continuously variable damper settings. The car comes with adaptive cruise control with steering assist which helps to maintain the position of the vehicle in the centre of the lane by providing gentle steering inputs along with acceleration and braking. The car also features a Heads-Up display which shows the speed, selected gear and other relevant information directly on the windscreen in front of you.

The Range Rover Sport ‘S’ is powered by a petrol and diesel option and their specification are given below:-

Petrol

• 2.0-litre Si4 engine with a maximum displacement of 1997.3cc with a twin-scroll turbocharger producing 296 HP of power and 400 Nm of torque coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox

Diesel

• 3.0-litre TDV6 engine with a maximum displacement of 2993cc that produces 255 HP of power and 600 Nm of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission
