The recent increase in the demand for electric two-wheelers has compelled Ather to set up its 2nd Experience Centre in Bengaluru. The company mentioned that the demand for its range of products has seen a surge in demand by almost 30 times since January 2021. And thus, with this second Experience Centre in place, Ather will expect to fulfil the customers’ needs in a much efficient manner. BIA Ventures, Karnataka’s leading auto retailer, has partnered for this new Experience Centre located at JP Nagar. Ather confirmed that both the Ather 450 Plus and Ather 450X would be made available for a test ride and purchase at the JP Nagar Ather Space soon.
Charging Infrastructure In Bengaluru
Currently, Ather has over 33 fast-charging locations spread across the city. These cover almost all the significant areas. As Ather likes to call its charging stations, Ather Grid is available at many locations. These include Whitefield, Indiranagar, Jayanagar, J P Nagar, etc. The growing number of electric vehicles is also demanding a robust charging infrastructure.
Therefore the target is to set up charging stations at over 50 locations in the city by the end of this year. In addition, many electric vehicle companies are proactively taking part in this e-mobility infrastructure development. And along with the support of the government, we expect that India will soon have a decently vast charging infrastructure. This charging infrastructure will support the current surge in demand for electric vehicles.
