TVS Motor Company has launched the new Ronin motorcycle in the Indian market. The scrambler-style motorcycle claims to be the first ‘modern-retro’ motorcycle to create its own premium lifestyle segment. The new TVS Ronin has been designed from the ground up and claims to draw inspiration from the modern new-age rider. TVS has revealed that the Ronin will be available in three variants – TVS Ronin SS, TVS Ronin DS, and the top variant, TVS Ronin TD. The brand will also offer an exclusive range of branded world-class merchandise and custom accessories.
TVS Ronin – Price and Variants
The TVS Ronin has been launched in three variants. The entry-level single-tone colour with single-channel ABS comes with a price tag of INR 1.49 lakh ex-showroom. The Dual-Tone Single-Channel model comes with a price tag of INR 1.56 lakh ex-showroom. The top-of-the-line Triple-Tone with Dual-Channel costs INR 1.69 lakh ex-showroom. The motorcycle will be available from select dealerships across the country starting July 2022.
TVS Ronin – Technical Specifications
Powering the TVS Ronin is a 225.9cc squared-off single-cylinder air-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve SOHC engine. The oil-cooled fuel-injected engine with glide-through technology produces 20.4 PS of power and 19.93 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. The TVS Ronin features a double split synchro-stiff frame that rides on a 41mm upside-down front suspension and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock on the rear. The braking setup consists of a 300mm single disc on the front and a 240mm disc on the rear equipped with Rain and Urban ABS modes. The motorcycle also comes with 9-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels shod in 110/70 front and 130/70 rear block pattern tyres specially commissioned for the Ronin.

The new TVS Ronin comes with a new design language opening up a new modern retro segment. The bike features a rounded headlamp with an LED cluster and a T-Face pilot lamp. On the rear, the Ronin comes with a LED bar-style taillamp offering a sleek light signature. The Ronin comes with a muscular fuel tank and a bench seat along with a chopped front fender. The motorcycle also comes with a full chain cover and a custom upswept exhaust. The brand also offers the Ronin with a full-digital off-centre instruments cluster with multiple features.

The brand is also offering the TVS Ronin with multiple accessories in categories such as ‘Style’, ‘Convenience’ and ‘Tour’.
