The launch of the Jaguar I-Pace is set for 23rd March 2021. Jaguar I-Pace gets a 90kWh battery which sends power to two electric motors that make 400 HP of power and 696 Nm of torque. The SUV is capable of doing a 0 to 100 kmph sprint in under 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 200 kmph making it a really fast car. The WLTP rated range was 470 km, tough ARAI is yet to certify this electric car. Jaguar is also offering customers a 5-year complimentary service package and 5-year road assistance which adds to the peace of mind. To remove all the apprehensions related to electric vehicles, the equipped battery comes with an 8-year or 1,60,000 km warranty.
The SUV will come in three variants namely, S, SE and fully load top-spec HSE. In the top-spec, some of the exclusive features include, an adaptive ‘Matrix’ LED headlights, a hands-free boot release, a heads-up display, adaptive cruise control, ‘Windsor’ leather sport seats, an 825W Meridian Sound System with a 16-speaker setup and more. The only competition in the market is the Mercedes-Benz EQC electric SUV and the upcoming Audi e-tron will further increase the competition in the luxury electric car segment.
