Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India LTD has launched the new 20th Anniversary edition of the brand’s most-popular scooter in the Indian market the Activa 6G. The Activa 6G 20th Anniversary edition is priced starting INR 66,816 for Standard & INR 68,316 for Deluxe. Furthermore, Honda has also announced that the Activa 6G 20th Anniversary edition will be dispatched to dealerships starting today.
The Honda Activa 6G in the 20th Anniversary avatar celebrates the marque’s 20 years of history with over 2 crore units sold in the Indian market. Since its launch, the brand has upgraded the Activa with Combi-Brake System in 2009 which is a decade before it became a norm, Honda Eco Technology (HET) in 2013 and then the eSP with 26 new patents which powers the latest Honda 6G in 2020.
The 20th Anniversary Edition in 2020 features an all-new – Matte Mature Brown colour with shiny embossed 20th Year Anniversary badge and the special golden Activa logo, new stripes on the front, body colour matching grabrails, black steel wheels, brown inner cover, brown seats and black crankcase cover. The new paint livery makes the new Activa 6G 20th Year Anniversary stand out from the crowd.
The Honda Activa 6G is powered by a BS6 emissions-compliant 109.51cc single-cylinder, air/fan-cooled motor with PGM-FI HET (Honda Eco Technology), Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology with unique Honda ACG starter and new Tumble flow technology that increases the turbulence of Air-Fuel mixture, producing 7.7 Hp of power and 8.79 Nm of torque matched to a CVT automatic gearbox. The scooter features an underbone chassis along with telescopic fork suspension on the front and 3-Step adjustable spring-loaded hydraulic shock absorber on the rear offering a comfortable ride.
The Honda Activa 6G offers features such as LED headlamps, engine start/stop switch, Double Lid External Fuel Filler, integrated dual-function switch, a generous footboard and a large under-seat storage compartment. In its standard form, the Honda Activa 6G is priced at INR 65,892 ex-showroom, Delhi and the DLX edition is priced at INR 67,392 ex-showroom.
