Revising its entry-level scooters, Piaggio has launched its new range of Vespa scooters in India. The new Vespa and Vespa S are now available with an updated engine and numerous colour pallets. Check the complete details below.

The 2025 update rollout for the Vespa and Vespa S has brought with it new colours and an updated OBD-2 B-compliant engine. Both the scooters are available with the options of a 125cc and a 150cc engine. The new update includes minor design changes and new colour pallets.
Vespa update details
To begin with, the Vespa is now available from a starting price tag of Rs 1,32,500 ex-showroom, Maharashtra. This price is for the 125cc model and it is now available in seven colour options: Verde Amabile, Rosso Red, Pearl White, Nero Black, Azzurro Provenza, Blue and Pearl White, Orange and Pearl White.
Speaking of the features, it will continue offering the 124.45cc air-cooled engine that churns out 9.3 bhp of peak power and 10.1 Nm of peak torque. However, the company claims that this engine has been updated for better efficiency and refinement along with the latest emission norms.
The second choice of engine is the more powerful 149.5cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 11.2 bhp and 11.66 Nm of peak power and torque outputs. This engine now develops slightly more power and torque than the outgoing model. However, the chassis and the mechanical components remain unchanged on both of the engine options.
Vespa S update details
The Vespa S, which has a slightly different design than the base Vespa, is now being offered in eight colours: Verde Ambizioso (Matte), Oro, Pearl White, Nero Black (Matte), Giallo Yellow (Matte), Arancio Impulsivo, Red and Pearl White, Black and Pearl White. The starting price of the Vespa S 125 is Rs 1,36,000 ex-showroom, Maharashtra.
Apart from the new colours, the rest of the scooter remains unchanged. It is also available with the 125cc and 150cc engine options as the base model. Both of these engine options have been revised for better refinement and efficient performance.

Piaggio has been selling the Vespa lifestyle scooter range in India for a long now. But, even with the constant updates, these scooters are not doing great in terms of sales figures. The latest update is to revive the sales numbers for both scooters.
