2025 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 spotted with new design & features

The upcoming 2025 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 has been spotted testing, revealing several updates to its design and features. The motorcycle retains its classic silhouette but introduces notable enhancements visually and mechanically.

Design Updates

The new Interceptor 650 features a round LED headlight and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, maintaining its iconic look. The fuel tank has a more flush-fitting lid, and the bike sports a new circular LED tail light and turn indicators similar to those seen on the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. The overall design remains largely the same, with updates focused on modernizing the classic appeal.

New Features

One of the significant changes is the dual disc brakes at the front, replacing the single disc setup on the current model. The new model also features a single-pod instrument cluster, replacing the twin-pod analog-digital unit. This new cluster is expected to be a 5-inch circular TFT unit, similar to the one on the Himalayan 450, supporting music controls and Google Maps.

The suspension setup has been upgraded with a new telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, which can be adjusted for preload. The bike is seen riding on alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, enhancing its overall ride quality.

Engine and Performance

The 2025 Interceptor 650 retains the 648cc parallel-twin oil-cooled engine, capable of producing 47  bhp of peak power and 52 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.

Expected Launch and Pricing

The updated Interceptor 650 is expected to be launched in early 2025, with a price range of INR 3.10 lakh to INR 3.20 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model aims to offer improved performance and features while retaining its classic charm.
