2025 Maruti Dzire Hybrid complete details
The newly introduced Dzire sedan in the Philippines is equipped with a different powertrain as compared to the Indian-spec model. The company has fitted a 0.072 kWh battery pack, which is mated to a 2.93 bhp electric motor to power the car in various conditions.
This new hybrid system helps the car in traffic by providing initial power and torque push, thus saving fuel and increasing the fuel efficiency. Additionally, it features the idle start/stop function, similar to the Indian-spec car, which boosts the fuel economy further.
Powering the Philippines-spec Dzire is the same 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, Z12E engine as on the Indian car. It generates 80 bhp and 112 Nm of peak power and torque, respectively. However, the Philippines model of Dzire is mated to a smoother CVT automatic gearbox, unlike the AMT on the Indian model.
Interestingly, the company has not revealed the official fuel economy figure of the Dzire Hybrid. However, assuming that the Indian-spec car without a hybrid setup delivers 25.71 km/l, we anticipate that the Dzire Hybrid’s fuel economy will be more than 30 km/l.
Apart from the powertrain, the rest of the model is identical to the Indian-spec car. It is equipped with LED lights, dual-tone alloy wheels, an electric sunroof, a 9-inch infotainment system, cruise control, wireless smartphone connectivity, etc.

Our verdict
The 2025 Maruti Dzire Hybrid offers a combination of reliability, advanced technology, and efficiency to customers in the Philippines. However, for the Indian market, Maruti is working on a strong hybrid Dzire, which is expected to launch in 2027.
