KTM is planning to introduce the new-generation 390 Adventure for India and abroad. Along with the 390 Adventure, the brand also plans to introduce a new Enduro motorcycle which is likely to be based on the 390 Adventure. However, the Enduro bike is likely to come with tweaks to its chassis, suspension as well as larger wheels. To summarize, the Enduro is more likely to be off-road friendly compared to the 390 Adventure which is likely to be more touring specific.
Now the brand is road testing the 390 Enduro in the Indian market and according to the spy shots, the motorcycle appears production ready. According to the images, the 390 Enduro appears to come with smaller proportions when compared to the Adventure. The Enduro also appears to be slimmer and sleeker. This also leads us to believe that the Enduro is likely to weigh less than the 390 Adventure. The motorcycle also appears to com with a small headlamp with a small flatscreen, high-mount front fender, a sleek and flat single piece seat, and a slim tail section. The motorcycle is also likely to come with a smaller fuel tank with relatively sharp tank shrouds and a wide handlebar.
In the parts bin, the 390 Enduro could get adjustable upside down front fork suspension as well as adjustable moonshock on the rear. The suspension is also likely to have a longer travel than the standard 390 ADV. In addition to this, the test mule also appears to be testing with spoke wire rims which are likely to be 21-inch on the front and 17-inch in size on the rear. However, the 390 Enduro is likely to share the same powertrain as the upgraded 390 Adventure which in turn is likely to come with the new 399cc LC4C unit lifted straight from the 390 Duke.
