2025 KTM 250 Adventure spotted testing, new but with few old parts

KTM is planning to launch its newly upgraded Adventure series motorcycles in the Indian as well as the international markets. Currently, the brand is testing the 390 Adventure in multiple avatars in India and abroad. Now, reports of the 250 Adventure with an update have appeared on the internet. The 2025 KTM 250 Adventure is likely to come with several upgrades but also carry forward parts from the old motorcycle. However, major changes to the 2025 250 Adventure compared to the outgoing model are likely to be cosmetic.

What’s New?

In the design department, the new KTM 250 Adventure is likely to come with the design similar to the upcoming 390 Adventure. The motorcycle in spy shots appears to have a large fascia with stacked projector headlamp units. The LED units appear to be flanked by a large windscreen and a black appliqué to hide its internal workings. The indicator lights also appear to be new in design on the 250 Adventure, and the same unit is likely to make its way to the 390 Adventure as well.

The high mount front fender is also new in design and appears to have drawn inspiration from the larger KTM Adventure series motorcycles. The tank and side panels also appear to come with a new design, more sharp and chiseled. The tail section is also sleeker than before and gets new grab handles. The keen eyed would also observe that the switch gear is new and the 250 Adventure is likely to come with throttle-by-wire.

What Remains Unchanged?

The KTM 250 Adventure is likely to come with the same engine which is on the new 250 Duke. This is the same 249cc single cylinder liquid-cooled unit that produces 30 Hp of power and 25 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox. Also, the monochrome LCD instruments cluster is likely to be carry forwarded for the old motorcycle. But at this point we cannot say if the electronics suite will be upgraded or not, and more details on the new 250 Adventure will be available in the near future.
