Kia is currently working on the facelift of Caren MPV. The upcoming model is expected to launch in the latter half of this year. The recent spy shots that have surfaced from Hyderabad, showcase the expected changes that the new car will get.
The first change that is readily noticeable is the addition of a panoramic sunroof. This is bound to be introduced as it seems to be taken from the Seltos, which already offers the big sunroof at an identical price.
Another change is the new front fascia that has vertical LED DRLs and a new set of headlamps. The new Carens will mimic the latest Carnival MPV in terms of design and aesthetics. However, the alloy wheels on the test car look similar to the current model.
The test mule is seen completely covered but the rear profile gives a hint of a new design. We are expecting Caren’s facelift to feature a new rear bumper, new LED-connected lights, and a revised boot lid as well.
Not much in known about the cabin changes but it is being rumoured online that the Caren’s facelift will get the connected screen display from the Seltos and a new dashboard. The features list will also be revised extensively. The second-row seats can get ventilation and electric adjustment, as seen on the newly launched Syros.
The engine and transmission options are likely to remain unchanged. Meanwhile, the prices will definitely take a hike due to the new features. We are also expecting it to get a level-2 ADAS suite.
